I saw this photo on Flickr and thought that this guy finally realized that prayer is more than heads bowed and eyes closed. Prayer includes hands raised with our eyes to heaven. The next time you are tempted to be one dimensional in your prayer remember the praising Mantis.

Church Planting In Harmony

Joe Murray, our church planter in Harmony writes...We celebrated our 2 year anniversary on Sunday, March 25th with 103 attending. Our service included testimonies, lasting for better than 1/2 an hour, from those who have been influenced for Christ through our local body. We also participated in Communion and finished out the day with a luncheon. That evening we selected our first group of four deacons. As a 2 year old toddler church, we are full of energy & life! We are up and running, although at times stumbling over our own 2 feet with some bumps and bruises to show for it. We are living out the reality of Matthew 16:18! Here are some pictures of our celebration. Thank you again for your prayer and financial support!

Bass Photo

Here is a picture of two of our fish. It took some time but Andrew got pretty good at casting his little zebco reel. Mike and I were able to fish on a 15' boat with a 5 year old wielding a loaded pole, and came back with all of our eyes intact. Amen? We caught about 12 altogether Mike ten, me two, and Andrew got the assist on two. I managed to catch and release one of them, as I was transferring them from the live well to the cooler. I guess we will have to meet again big fish, we will meet again!

Gone Fishin'

Today Andrew and I will be going fishin with his Uncle Mike. Uncle Mike has a bass boat and a friend with a private lake and one of those sonar thingamabobs. Last time we went, I was astounded at how many fish were down there. It seemed like clouds. I will try to post some pictures her if I can think to take them, as we will be very busy reeling in the big ones. BUT, before we get there I have a long list of honey do's or is it honey dues? Anyway, Amy and I have been saving long and hard for new flooring in the bedroom, and today it begins. They are all out for Spring Break, and we will enjoy some free time together.

Today, I will be able to sit in on the ordination council for one of the guys who was in my youth group. Ben and I shared so many good times. From the down load on a Saturday morning following my first date with Amy. Ben is a solid guy and has developed into a great youth pastor. Ben, I am so proud of you. I look forward to celebrating with you.
